The Lowell Sun is reporting that Pats special teamer / defensive back Willie Andrews was arrested today and arraigned on drug charges in Lowell District Court.  According to the police report, Lowell police received an anonymous tip that "drug activity" was going on in and around Andrews' vehicle, which apparently was unregistered (adding to the drug possession charge).  Upon inspection, police discovered that Andrews was in possession of approximately a half pound of marijuana, as well as just under $7000 in cash.  With no apparent means to smoke the marijuana on his person or in the car, as well as a ton of cash in the car, police also charged Andrews with intent to distribute.  I wonder if Willie tried claiming it was for therapeutic purposes to cope with losing the Super Bowl; either way, he will appear in court on March 13 for a pretrial conference.
