Sports' Spitting Images - Scot Pollard & Superman II's Non
This next one's pretty humorous. At least we think so.
The second edition of Sports' Spitting Images features Boston Celtics fan favorite Scot Pollard. Pollard hasn't quite had a huge impact on the success of the Celts this season (1.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks per game), but we've all enjoyed his wacky antics, and the depth he brings at the center position is certainly a very welcome addition (you know, when he's not injured). Pollard's a pretty unique looking dude, to say the least, so you would probably think we'd have a hard time finding someone that looked so, well, unique. Well, think again.
That's right, it's the dude from Superman II. His real name - no, it's not "Non," that was his name in the movie - is Jack O'Halloran. As you'd expect, his career fell off a good deal after that classic role in Superman II. I wonder if he could get some kind of work as a Scot Pollard look-alike?
