Sports' Spitting Images - Travis Hafner & Clive Owen
Sorry for our long absence, sports fans. Most of the feedback we've gotten regarding the site revealed that SSI is perhaps our most popular feature, so in the coming weeks we'll try to pump 'em out 2 or 3 times per week for you... That being said, here's the latest installment of Sports' Spitting Images:

As you can tell, I gave up trying to find two pictures that make these guys look exactly alike, so hopefully you've seen enough of them on your own that you can see the resemblance in your mind. Picture number one is of Travis Hafner, the power hitting designated hitter for the Cleveland Indians. In 5+ big league seasons, "Pronk" has 142 homers, 481 RBI and a career BA and OBP of .290 and .398, respectively. In spite of playing in a career high 152 games in 2007, Hafner had a pretty disappointing year - resulting in the shared ire of fantasy baseball owners who drafted him early, myself included - finishing with a line of .266/24/100/80; reportedly fully healthy to start the 2008 campaign, "Pronk" looks to return to his 2006 form when he finished at .308/42/117/100. The second pic, as most of you thespian enthusiasts no doubt already know, is of Clive Owen, one of today's best and most versatile actors. The English actor has recently appeared in films like Shoot 'Em Up and Inside Man and will star in the highly anticipated Sin City 2. Don't worry Clive, we'll all overlook that decision to star in the abysmal King Arthur... so long as you stick to the upper echelon of films now that you've "made it."
