Is the New Yankee Stadium Already Cursed?

 (MLB.com Shop Photo)

Came across this bizarre story in the New York Post (courtesy of BDD) that details a new spin on the Sox-Yanks rivalry, as well as all the talk of curses that afflict either team.  Apparently, a New York-born Boston fan working on the new Yankee Stadium project tossed a David Ortiz jersey into some cement that was being poured into the foundation of the visiting team's locker room.  Therefore, Yankee Stadium will be forever appareled in Red Sox gear... at least until the Steinbrenners catch word of this story and have the entire locker room floor dug up and re-cemented.  I'm not really sure what to say here because I've never really been one to believe in the whole "rhymes with shmurse" story line created and perpetuated by the media, but hey, every little bit helps when it comes to playing the Yanks, right?  I do find this pretty humorous, though, but I'm really not looking forward to the obligatory "Looks like the jersey in the locker room floor had something to do with that loss..." angle that will assuredly be exploited by NY media members every time the Yanks lose in their new stomping grounds.

UPDATE (4/13, 1:30 PM):
Workers have pinpointed the location the jersey and have subsequently removed it from the cement.  Talk about paranoid...  After ESPN and the AP got a hold of this story, Hal Stienbrenner let the world know just what he thinks of these shenanigans: "I hope his co-workers kick the [expletive] out of him."  Just the mix of class and crass that we've come to expect out of members of the Steinbrenner family.
