As many of you no doubt already know, Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez launched the 499th home run of his Hall of Fame-worthy career off Seattle starter Miguel Batista on Tuesday night / Wednesday morning. The three-run blast was Manny's 9th of the season and it's his first round-tripper since May 12th (coincidentally, the very day Julian Tavarez was designated... looks like Manny misses his friend... awwww). The Sox play the next 5 games on the road and then embark on a 9 game home stand, so there's a decent chance we could see Manny hit No. 500 within the friendly confines of Fenway Park.
