Making the feat even more amazing is the fact that Lance had to overcome testicular cancer to return to competition. In 17 Major League seasons, John Olerud compiled a .295 BA, .398 OBP, 2239 hits and 255 home runs. He most recently played for our hometown Boston Red Sox during 2005.
