So Much for Youk's Second Half Slump

Heading into last night's game, Youk had raised his batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage from .303/.374/.539 to .315/.381/.559 since the 81st game of the season (June 25th by my count). He has 14 multi-hit games, including three in the first three days of August, to go along with 7 HR, 28 RBI and 21 R. He's taken 10 walks and struck out 20 times. Projected over a full season, Youk would finish with 30 HR, 111 RBI and 101 R.

Not bad for a guy widely considered to be a slow second half player.
