Humorous Olympian Name of the Week: Tancock & Poon

Nothing goes together like a little Tancock and Poon, I always say.

For this week's Humorous Olympian Name of the Week feature, we've got a special double-dip for you: You're looking at a pair of Olympic swimmers, Liam Tancock and Victoria Poon (hat tip to Deadspin for picking up on Poon's story and, subsequently, bringing her humorous name to my attention). Tancock, representing Great Britain, is a backstroke swimmer who specializes in the 50M and 100M events. Poon represents Canada (insert obligatory "Canadian poon" joke here) and was reportedly quarantined at a Beijing hospital after coming down with chicken pox recently. Not quite on par with Greg Louganis' AIDS-infected blood making its way into the Olympic diving pool, but officials were apparently worried enough that they removed her from competition.

Between these two, the joke possibilities are endless. Have at it, sports fans...
