Sox' Injury Woes Continue with Drew's Herniated Disc
The day after the Twins moved into a tie for first place with the Sox in the AL Wild Card standings, the Sox got more bad news today as J.D. Drew has been diagnosed with a herniated disc in his back. Drew, who's dealt with chronic back pain throughout his entire career, may miss time as a result of the injury. Drew and the Sox will do all they can to make sure he doesn't wind up on the DL, but due to Drew's injury history and the circumstances of this most recent injury, a 15-day stint seems increasingly possible.
