Ronnie Brown beats the Patriots 38-13

I don't want to sound like I'm overreacting or anything, but uh, holy shit guys. The Pats haven't gotten whooped this bad since these same Dolphins blanked them in Miami two years ago in a 21-0 loss. (Yeah, that's the one where Brady had just 78 yards through the air and the Fish racked up five sacks.) It's hardly time to panic, but we also can't explain this one away using the "A loss is a loss regardless of the score" argument either.
Getting down to business, there really wasn't much - if anything - to like in this performance. Five-yard touchdown pass aside, Cassel looked pretty terrible. The defense looked even worse, allowing 461 total yards. No running back had more than 10 carries or 27 yards, and Moss had his second straight game with under 30 yards receiving... I mean, Ronnie effing Brown tossed a freaking touchdown pass and just happened to run for four more! Most of us didn't even know if he was a lefty or a righty heading into this contest, but he was still able to throw an ugly yet effective 19-yard strike to Dallas castoff Anthony Fasano. Absolutely unreal. What sucks is that the boys have an extra week to dwell on it. Thanks for the Week 4 bye, NFL!
I guess we can be happy that Gostkowski remained perfect on field goal attempts as he connected on 37 and 44-yarders. Oh, and Hanson's (three punts, 121 yards) looked pretty good, too... and yes, it was pretty tough for me to compliment our typically-shitty punter there, but hey, it was about all there was to enjoy in this one.
