It's being reported that Lugo pulled his quad taking grounders on Saturday, but you and I both know what's really going on here. The Sox flat-out don't want Lugo back on the roster. Even with Lowrie's batting average plummeting faster than the value of Lehman Brothers (over 50 points in his BA since mid-August), he's still a significantly better option than Lugo. While he really may have reaggravated his injury enough to push back his recovery time-table, I doubt the Sox are really looking for him to contribute in any meaningful way any time soon.
