Timmaaaay's got a pair of shutouts in as many nights, proving once again that the starting job is and should be his and Manny Fernandez should be no more than a super-backup. The Drew Carey look-alike (potential future Sports' Spitting Images, perhaps...) now has a 3-1-2 record with a ridiculous 1.79 goals against average and 182 saves through 6 games. Even better, the dude shows no sign of slowing down. He obviously won't finish the year with a sub-2 GAA, but he's done a good job of silencing all those critics pulling for Fernandez (who's nowhere near Thomas production-wise as he's allowed 4, 2, 2 and 4 goals in his 4 starts this year) to claim the starting job. It'll be interesting to see whether Coach Claude continues to ride the hot hand as Manny's been known to get a bit temperamental when things don't shake out his way.

Oh yeah, and the Celtics won their opener against the Cavs, got their Championship rings, and now have another banner hanging from the Garden rafters. Good to be a Boston sports fan...
