The Picks - Week 13

Broncos at Jets (-8): Broncos + 8
The Broncos can't stop anyone on defense, but I think their offense can get it done in this one. The Jets' strength on defense is their ability to stop the run game; good thing Denver's strength is passing.

49ers at Bills (-6.5): Bills -6.5
Neither of these teams are particularly intimidating, but the Bills should be able to run away with this one fairly easily as they're better in just about every phase of the game (RB might be a toss up).

Saints at Buccaneers (-4): Saints +4
New Orleans dropped 51 on a solid Packers defense last week and there's no reason to think they couldn't do the same against a similarly stout Bucs D.

Panthers at Packers (-3): Packers -3
DeAngelo Williams finally looks like the feature back people thought he could be way back when he was stuck behind DeShaun Foster on the depth chart, and things are starting to come together on the defensive side of the ball this year.

Giants (-3.5) at Redskins: Giants -3.5
Plax accidentally shot himself in the leg in a club on Friday (HA!), but as long as Brandon Jacobs is in that backfield, they'll reign supreme in the NFC East.

Dolphins (-9) at Rams: Dolphins -9
The Rams defense is the worst in the league. It's as simple as that.

Ravens (-7) at Bengals: Ravens -7
The Ravens defense could cover this spread on their own.

Colts (-5) at Browns: Colts -5
The savior Brady Quinn is out, meaning Derek Anderson has a chance to come in and try to make good on that contract he signed by having a solid final few games. I doubt that happens, though.

Falcons at Chargers (-4.5): Falcons +4.5
The Chargers allowed 115 yards to a banged up Willie Parker two weeks ago... the sky's the limit for Michael Turner.

Steelers at Patriots (-1): Steelers +1
I have bad feelings about this game. Cassel won't be able to have his third 400-yard, 3-TD game against this defense, but unfortunately, that's just what they'll need to be able to pull this off as the Steelers will stuff the run game. Don't like his chances much.

Chiefs at Raiders (-3): Raiders -3
Raiders run game looked pretty good last week and maybe you've heard, the Chiefs aren't too good at stopping the run. Perhaps Run DMC has his second huge game of the year...

Bears at Vikings (-3.5): Vikings -3.5
Matt Forte crushed the Rams to the tune of 139 yards on the ground last week, but the Vikes D is considerable better than St. Louis'. AP was benched early on last game for being late to a team meeting, so he'll look to have a huge game in his first full game out.

Jaguars at Texans (-3): Jaguars +3
The Jags have been one of this year's most disappointing teams, but they should have no trouble against the Matt Schaub-less Texans.
