The Picks - Week 16
Cowboys -4.5 - This may be just a bit of wishful thinking on my part, but that Dallas defense looked spectacular against the Giants last week, and the offense is clicking in spite of the lack of Marion the Barbarian and some whiny bitch receivers.
Steelers -2 - The Titans had this baby sealed up long ago, so I strongly doubt they keep anyone meaningful in past the first two quarters. Might we even see the return of VY this week?
Chiefs +3.5 - Again, more wishful thinking on my part, but I do not expect the 'Fins to come in and walk all over KC. Thigpen's been reliable all season, and maybe we'll see vintage LJ for the third or fourth time this year (I hope).
Patriots -7.5 - Unlike the Pats, the Cardinals don't have much riding on this game as they're already in. Further enhancing the Pats' chances is the fact that Boldin could be out.
Browns -3 - The Browns suck. The Bengals, even more so. Just picking the lesser of two evils.
Eagles -5 - Portis is iffy again. Did you also happen to catch Skip Bayless saying he thought McNabb was the fifth most attractive QB in the league? Awkwaaaard.
Rams +5 - Gut feeling. Gore is far less than 100% healthy, and the Rams could get around to putting some points up on the board. Maybe.
Falcons +3 - One of the funnest teams to watch all year. Turner's a matchup guy and sometimes struggles against better defenses, but I'll take the ATL until proven wrong.
Lions +7 - Only reason I'm not taking the Saints is because their defense is as atrocious as Detroit's. I can easily see Megatron (aka Calvin Johnson) going off with 2 or 3 scores.
Panthers +3 - Even with Jacobs back, the struggles continue for Eli and the boys.
Jets -3.5 - Boy that was a lucky win they squeeked out last week. The scheduling gods were kind as they face one of the worst teams in the NFL in a pivotal week 16 matchup.
Texans -7 - Remember when Matt Schaub was Michael Vick's backup on the Falcons? Given the starting job, and weapons named Jonnson and Walter, he's done pretty well at everything beisdes staying healthy. Luckily for Houston, this week, he's healthy.
Bill +6.5 - Dick Jauron is the most inept head coach in the league (although he somehow just inked a contract extension), but even he can't screw this up: run the ball with Lynch and Jackson down the throats of the league's 27th-ranked run defense.
Chargers +3.5 - Philip Rivers will probably say he doesn't care about being snubbed for the Pro Bowl, but the league's highest rated passer will sure play like he cares.
Bears -4 - I think Forte's gonna go out with a bang over these last two weeks.
