Welcome aboard, Mikey, uhh Mickey, Mik... Mr. Moore!

The man with the most awkward, ambiguous first name (and weight... he could be 230 or a buck fifty!), Mikki Moore, has joined the Celtics as on an undisclosed deal after being waived by the Kings.

My reaction? Eh. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine signing. The potential impact of a veteran 7-footer who can play decent defense can never be overlooked, and with the lack of healthy big men out there right now (KG out with a knee, Scal out with a busted dome, and O'Bryant out after being shipped to Toronto), he should get some decent minutes right away.

However, I'm not nearly as amped as some of the commenters on the Boston.com boards claiming this is the final piece to the puzzle. No way. The final piece would be the addition of a veteran PG, and that's where the recently bought-out Stephon Marbury comes in. Should the Celts sign Starbury and get him to be into "that whole team-first thing," then I'll look at this as a sort of package deal and laud Ainge and co. endlessly. If they stop the additions with Moore, then I'm afraid it won't be enough.
