Sports' Spitting Images - Cliff Floyd & Chip Ambres

This definitely isn't one of those "They both have the same skin color so they kind of look alike because of that lone" ones. Believe me, those were our bread and butter for a little while. But here we have Cliff Floyd of the San Diego Padres and Chip Ambres of the Boston Red Sox minor league system.

Floyd played part time for the Devil Rays last season, racking up 11 homers, 39 RBI and a .268 BA in 80 games. His best season came way back in 2001 when he was a member of the Marlins as he posted a .317 BA, 31 HR, 103 RBI, 123 R and 18 SB in 555 ABs. At 36, he's obviously not the player he once was, but he should still have a bit of pop left in the bat.

Ambres has been mainly a career minor leaguer and has racked up just 189 ABs in 80 games. He batted .211/.348/.579 this spring and has already been sent down to Pawtucket. He probably won't make much of an impact on the big league club this year.
