Sox fans still love them some Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts threw out the opening pitch to the second game of today's double-header against the Twinkies and the Sox fans let him know just how much they still appreciate his invaluable contributions in the 2004 postseason. It's obviously well-deserved because without him, the Sox do not win the World Series in 2004, period. His ninth-inning steal in the ALCS was the decisive play of the postseason, and while I do think our hometown teams often go too far dwelling on such things (especially when it comes to throwing out first pitches, halftime ceremonies and the like), this one was well worth it.
On a somewhat related note, what are everyone's thoughts on the team's Earth Day attire? It struck me as kind of odd given the fact that they probably wasted a shit load of raw materials, energy, and time of sweat shop factory workers to have a bunch of those things printed up. Just seems counterproductive to the whole conservationist approach all those hippies preach. Call me crazy.
