Bruins: Who Stays, Who Goes?

Now that all the Pink Puck fans have skated on to the Bruins bandwagon, I figure it's time to take a look at who will be back in a B's uniform next year.

The Bruins have a shit ton of RFA's (Restricted Free Agents) and UFA's (Unrestricted Free Agents) coming up after the season and this is my take on who stays and who goes:

Offense
Miroslav Satan (UFA) - Gone, thanks for the help this year, maybe revisited in themiddle of next year for another pro-rated contract.

Danny Paille (RFA) - Re-signed, great speed, still young, can take over Begin's PKspot full-time, great 4th line guy.

Steve Begin (UFA) - Gone, he's done a great job, but too much money for a PK guy.

Blake Wheeler (RFA) - They'll try to re-sign him I think and they should since he'sstill so young with so much potential, but I see him signing somewhereelse.  However, if Chiarelli is reading this, re-sign Blake the Snake! He's only 23 and his nickname is Wheels.  Nuff said.

Vladimir Sobotka (RFA) - Re-signed, this guy is a Bruin, there's nothing he can do about it, he just is. Tough, skilled, great body position player, canplay anywhere, on the 4th line he'll be unreal.

Mark Recchi - Same thing.  They have to re-sign him.  Since he's been here,he has become the leader of this team. He's still better a lot of guys in the NHL.  He played 81 games and had 43 points. Not to mention he Hulks up during the playoffs. Young guys look up to him, oldguys want to be him.

Shawn Thornton (UFA) - A lot of people see him leaving.  I see him getting re-signedas sort of a Tim Wakefield thing.  I think Claude has a spot for Shawnon the 4th line every year.  I think Begin is gone and the 4th line isThornton - Sobotka - Paille.

Defense
Johnny Boychuk (RFA) - If Jesus ever had a son, it would be Johnny Boychuk.  He was the best defenseman in the AHL last year putting up 65 points, which is absurd.  He didn't have a job to begin the year and is now on the top D line with Chara.  Also, he does everything right.  I could talk all day about him.

Dennis Seidenberg (UFA) - Gone.  I would love if the B's re-signed him, but he's going to get too much money from another team.

Mark Stuart (RFA) - Re-signed.  Another guy that just is a Bruin.  He's still young (26) and, aside from a weird year injury-wise this year, is very durable (played every game the last 2 years).  Some guys just have to be re-signed.  He is one of them.

Adam McQuaid (RFA) - Gone.  Unless the B's can get him for good money, he'll go somewhere else and break dude's faces.  The Bruins have too many guys to re-sign.  Unfortunately, I think McQuaid is a casualty of that.

I think that's everybody.  Hopefully PC annihilates free agency and puts another great team on the ice next year.  And with Taylor Hall or Tyler Seguin on board, I think we're gonna need a bigger bandwagon.

Carcillo's a toothless bitch, Flyers suck.

Enjoy the playoff run.

It’s blistering hot over here and the temperature is piling over forty... what a god-awful heat my goodness, and just the time to think of ice-hockey. Ahhh! Bliss… I would love to cover up and skate along the rinks and just be cool. Instead, I have to think of sweltering soccer or a hot tame of tennis… all when one just wants to even stretch out and go to sleep on a slab of ice. I don’t really care who is in or out, as long as the weather changes, Buddy! Life is too hot to pretend and look happy overs someone dropped and some one included..
