Ty Warren is Done

If you don't know, now you know.  Patriots DE Ty Warren was put on injured reserve today.  F that.  That blows.  It is part of the game though, and if anybody can find players to fill in admirably, it's Bill Belichick.  Also, remember that the Patriots sucked at rushing the passer last year and still maintained a decent level of success, so maybe this won't hurt the team as much as we think ha ha.

Blind optimism aside, who will replace Ty Warren?  It won't be one guy, but the Patriots do have some guys that will be able to fill in nicely.  The main guy will probably be Gerard Warren.  He looked pretty damn solid against the Saints yesterday, and definitely is experienced enough to help fill in.

Other options are Mike Wright, Damione Lewis, Myron Pryor, and, close your eyes kids, Ron Brace.  Ron, if you're reading this, step your shit up.  The team needs you.

Another option is to go out and sign a guy.  This might happen anyways just for depth, but I know what you're thinking: Aaron Schobel.  Unless the Pats make it rain and pay him what he wants, I don't see him coming here.

First of all, he has made it clear he wants to be paid and paid by the Texans.  And B, I don't think Tom Brady or Logan Mankins will be very happy if the Pats throw a ton of money at Schobel and tell them that "we can't sign you guys yet."

I think the Pats are thinking more along the lines of Adewale Ogunleye.  We shall see in the coming weeks what the Patriots decide to do, but that news definitely sucks.
