At halftime of the Vikings-Saints game, Peter King reported that he was told by Bob Kraft that Tom Brady has agreed to an four-year extension worth $72 mil (18 per year) with 48.5 mil guaranteed.  They just have to submit it to the league and it should be announced tomorrow according to Pete and Kraft.

Heeeellllllll yeah.  Gotta love bringing a three-time Super Bowl-winning QB back in the fold.  The new deal will supposedly begin after this year so Thomas Aquinas will be here for the next five years. 

Aside from being able to buy a new Audi S8 to crash, Brady will become the highest-paid player in NFL history based on average annual salary.  While that doesn't sound good to geek-ass nerds like capologists, I believe that as long as a player of Tom Brady's caliber is under contract, it's a good deal.  Some guys just transcend cap hits and negotiation strategy.
