Douglas Flynn over at NESN.com is reporting that Providence/rookie game coach Rob Murray said Joe Colborne is in better shape than we all thought.

"I think it's probably a little more positive than what it looked like last night. He's gone to the hospital this morning for some more tests, but I think at first they thought he broke his nose. He might not have broke his nose."

He's not going to play tonight, but Murray even said Colborne was lucid enough to lobby him for playing time in the final rookie game.

Great news that he might not be as f 'ed up as originally thought. Even better news that he wanted to play tonight. I'm sure he sill looks like Shrek right now, but at least he's not concussed.
