REPORT: Danny is Giving Rip a Look
My reaction when I heard this was, "Oooooohhhhhh!" I don't know why. But I yelled it and it happened. So I guess that means I would like this move.
But anyways, a report came out today that Danny Ainge is looking at Detroit SF Richard Hamilton as an option off the bench.
Count it! I think this would be a good move IF they don't have to trade for him. He makes like 13 mil a year which is a big F'in No Thanks, but the Pistons supposedly want to buy him out because nobody but Joe Dumars is stupid enough to trade for him and he can't because he already has him.
If Danny was stupid enough to take on that absurd salary, a trade of Jermaine O'Neal, Von Wafer, and Nate Robinson would match up salaries and could probably get it done. Trade Machine bitch!
But the more likely route is that he gets bought out and signs somewhere, which will hopefully be the C's.
If the Celts get Rip, not only would they be getting a sweet new face mask, but a solid veteran who could spell Ray Allen finally. I say finally because Ray Allen runs more than a Kenyan in a Subway commercial (I don't even know if that's funny; it's just the first thing I thought of).
That would make the 2nd unit dirty when everyone is healthy:
