Quick Post on Name Pronunciations

One of my biggest pet peeves on this earth aside from people who ask you a question in order to give you their answer to their own question is blatant mispronunciation of pro sports names.

I understand not every name is easy to pronounce, but egregious mispronunciation is unacceptable.

I've been to countless Bruins games where some fat idiot in front of me butchers a player's name. I've heard Kosabew for Chuck Kobasew, Crychee for David Krejci, Loosick and Loochick for Milan Lucic, and retchy for Mark Recchi.

But the one I heard today was the worst ever, and subsequently led me to write this post.

Some dude called into Toucher & Rich and called Dennis Seidenberg "Soderhome."

Soderhome...you gotta be shitting me.

I don't want to think about it anymore because I'll just get mad.
