EEI is About to Die

The newest ratings for Boston radio are out and 98.5 The Sports Hub absolutely annihilated WEEI in every category.

Let's take a look at the break down:

Men 18-34

Sports Hub - 11.5 share
WEEI - 2.1 share

Men 25-54
Sports Hub - 7.1 share
WEEI - 5.5 share

This is the best one though:

Dennis & Callahan - 2.6 share
Toucher & Rich - 20.9 share

I have no clue what shares are or how they are calculated, but I'm pretty sure 20.9 is a lot better than 2.6.

That's surprising D&C did so poorly considering how awesome their promos were.

It's hard to pick up sarcasm through writing, but if you can't tell, they are the worst promos and commercials ever.  It's just two old guys trying to be edgy and angry.  Cool.

It's pathetic how much they are trying to push Dennis & Callahan and I'm glad Bostonians realize that they are awful and T&R are exponentially better.

Although I will say that I kind of feel bad for EEI because I used to listen to them all the time before The Sports Hub came along.

It's kind of like leaving your wife for a hot young super model.  But if the super model is into you, what're going to do?  Not leave your wife for her?  Come on.  That's stupid.

Plus, WEEI brought this on themselves.  Literally every guy except Mikey Adams just yells at callers and makes them feel inferior.  Like they are so special because they talk into a microphone all day.

And I'm glad it has been exposed so much.  They treat callers like crap and just talk over each other all the time.

Basically, it is a bunch of fat, annoying, narcissistic d bags that talk over each other.

Except Mikey Adams of course.  I love Mikey Adams.  He should defect to The Sports Hub.

And as bad as Dennis & Callahan are, I think these numbers speak more to just how much better Toucher & Rich are.

They are legitimately hilarious, creative, witty, and are knowledgeable about Boston sports.  They run a perfect show every day.

I mean, Toucher and Rich were talking to Charlie Sheen at the height of his popularity while Dennis and Callahan were talking about politics and yelling at people.

What'd they think was gonna happen?
