Nathan Horton Montage...Holy Shit Balls
That was amazing.
I'm glad someone put that online because that had to be seen by people not in attendance last night.
An entire city rising up with one purpose: to beat the fuck out of the Canucks.
Just a phenomenal moment.
But the main thing I was thinking when watching that video was what a crazy ride this has been for Nathan Horton.
The dude plays in front of "fans" that find themselves playing Sudoku and reading books and dying during games for six years. Then one day he gets traded to an original six team that has fans who would trade a year of their lives to see the Bruins hoist the Cup (seriously, I came to the decision yesterday that I would trade a year of my life to see the Bruins win the Cup if that offer was presented to me).
And people wonder why Horton smiles all the time. He went from rags to riches over night. While little kids are dreaming about playing in the NHL, NHL players are dreaming about playing on a great team. And Horton is now a part of one. A big part.
But the roller coaster doesn't stop there. Then he gets knocked the fuck out in what was surely the worst moment of his career. And then gets an enormous standing ovation which almost brought him to tears in what could arguably be the best moment of his career so far.
So it's been a wild ride for Horton so far.
But one thing is for sure, this guy is hoping Horton has the best moment of his career tomorrow night.
Thanks to Barstool for the video.
