REPORT: PC Trying to Trade Kaberle's Rights

This shit is hot off the presses.

Darren Dreger of TSN is reporting that the Bruins sent out an email Tuesday offering Tomas Kaberle's negotiating rights...for a price.

I like the move for two reasons:

1) The only thing I loved about Kaberle was the fact that his facial hair naturally grows in pirate style.

2) The market for puck-moving defenseman is growing as their number lessens.  Bieksa re-signed with Vancouver, Pitkanen re-signed with Carolina, and Christian Ehrhoff just had his rights traded to the Islanders today.

Simple freakonomics tells us that shitty GMs will now act like idiots and way overpay for the few remaining offensive defenseman.

I don't know about you, but I don't want PC significantly overpaying for an offensive defenseman whose play at times is simply offensive (see what I did there?).

And unless Kaberle takes a serious discount or gets tricked into signing a contract he doesn't want, he's probably gone.  So why not get something for him?
