B's Get Joe Corvo for 2012 4th Rounder
I knew PC was up to something.
Today he traded a 2012 4th round pick to the Hurricanes for Dman Joe Corvo.
Solid move.
Corvo became expendable because Kaberle just signed a 3 year deal with the 'Canes.
So if you add it up, that makes Joe Colborne, a 1st rounder, a 2nd rounder, and a 4th rounder for Joe Corvo and a Stanley Cup.
I'll take that trade every damn day.
But Joe Corvo is a more physical and more responsible defenseman than Kaberle. He also put up 11 goals and 29 assists on a bad team last year, which is pretty solid.
His cap hit is only 2.25 mil and he's a UFA next year if PC doesn't like what he sees this year.
Plus, he played every game last year, which I heard is a good thing.
So the D looks like this now:
Chara - Seidenberg
Ference - Corvo
McQuaid - Boychuk
Kampfer
That's a solid group.
