REPORT: Kyle Arrington Signs 2-Year Extension; Plus a Shit Ton of Other Pats News
Just days after bitching about the Patriots' inactivity, I can barely keep up with everything today. But here we go:
- As I detailed in the post before this one, the Pats cut a bunch of guys today. I hate Ty warren being cut, but I trust Bill more than I trust myself.
- Kyle Arrington signed a 2-year extension like less than an hour ago. I'm a Kyle Arrington fan because the guy was undrafted and those guys always fight for everything. It's a mind set.
And with Leigh Bodden back starting, Bill will be able to use him in better situations that will let him progress as a player.
He also did a solid job stepping up last year due to injuries and Darius Butler sucking. So he really took advantage and deserves an extension.
- Ryan Mallett and Marcus Cannon signed their rookie contracts today. The Marcus Cannon Story keeps getting better and better. We will have to see if he is ready to play, but it's a good sign to see him sign.
Also, a lot of reporters were creaming in their pants over Mallett's arm today. So that's good.
Double also, that makes every Pats draft pick signed with the exception of Nate Solder, Shane Vereen, and Ras-I Dowling. so the most important ones.
- Ochocinco showed up to afternoon practice with the number 85. Everyone was gossiping on Twitter about what it took for Aaron Hernandez to give it up, but word on the street is he gave it to Ocho as a welcome present.
Turns out, Hernandez wore 81 at Florida, but couldn't wear it last year because of Randy Moss. So everyone is happy. That's cute.
