It's Official: Matt Cooke Ended Marc Savard's Career
Well, it's not completely official, but PC said today that Marc Savard will not play hockey at all this season, and, from what he is being told, probably will never play hockey again.
I wish I could be in the room when Matt Cooke hears this news.
Not to Stone Cold Stun him, or Rock Bottom him, or even round house kick him into a hurricanrana. But just to see what kind of person he really is.
By all accounts, he hasn't shown much remorse for the Savard hit in particular.
He also clearly hasn't learned from it since he was suspended for the last part of the 2011 season due to a pathetically dirty hit on Ryan McDonagh.
Deductive reasoning would tell us that Matt Cooke is one of the worst human beings on the planet and I don't think you have to be Sherlock Holmes to come to that conclusion.
Or even the dude from Blue's Clues. I think his name was Steve.
But what is Matt Cooke going to have to do for people to wake up and realize that he just genuinely enjoys taking people out?
Kind of sucks there's nothing any of us can do about it, but here's hoping Karma is a bitch to Matt Cooke.
That dude deserves nothing but the worst.
My guess is Shawn Thornton will take his mother Dorothy Cooke out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again.
Seriously though, hopefully Savvy can just lead a normal, healthy life because that little dude has a big place in a lot of our hearts.
