Big Bang Shock: Pats Release Meriweather
It is a statistical fact that 1 in 7 people you meet, you simply do not like.
I guess Brandon Meriweather was that 7th person to Bill Belichick because Bill cut his ass today.
Other notable cuts were Brandon Tate (called it), Eric Moore, Sammy Morris, and Ross Ventrone...for like the eighth time.
I always thought Brandon Meriweather was vastly overrated, but I think anyone would take him over James Ihedigbo, Josh Barrett, and Sergio Brown.
The thing I will miss the most about Meriweather is the lack of new material for Toucher & Rich to make fun of.
He's probably going to sign with the Jets and be amazing now because that's how this stuff goes down.
But right now, it looks like Patrick Chung and Sergio Brown are the starters, with Ihedigbo and Barrett as the primary back ups.
This just in: that safeties group sucks ass.
Which is why I expect Bill to sign another safety at some point. This guy's hoping for Darren Sharper because that dude is a legit ball hawk when healthy.
