'Bout Time Bradley: B's Give Marshmont a 2-Year Deal
Great news reported by multiple peeps today as Brad Marchand and the Bruins finally came to an agreement on a 2-year deal worth 5 mil.
The first thing I thought was it probably took so long because PC didn't want to talk unless Bradley put a shirt on.
Seriously though, it's great that he signed, but I was hoping it would be for more than two years. The amount is right on though. 2.5 is a good number for both sides.
The good news is, he should still be a restricted free agent once the two years are up. I say should because the NHL CBA is up after this year so, while he would be a RFA according to the current CBA, that could all change.
But his signing means at least two more years of the Bergeron - Marchand tandem, which is a tandem I would rank behind Papi and Manny but way ahead of Bert and Ernie.
Now that Marchand has signed, I'm going to put up a Bruins Lineup Preview soon so keep it locked.
