Quote of the Week: Start Drinkin' Early

Tom Brady was asked if he had a message for fans going to the home opener and this was his response:

"Yeah, start drinking early.  Get nice and rowdy.  4:15 game, lot of time to get lubed up and come out here and root for their home team."

That's awesome.  And important because in recent years, the fans at Foxboro have been pathetic.  I hear the stories of how people would tell other people to sit down because they were cheering too loud and I wish I could round house each and every one of them.

Round house to the face.  Actually, it would more likely be a round house to the belly because your boy can't get his leg up too high these days.

But I never understood how people could yell at people for being too loud at a football game.  It's like yelling at someone for being too quiet in a library.
If the person is just out of control drunk then that is understandable.  But it's like go see a movie if you want to watch something and not talk, grandma.

Anyways, when Tom Brady tells you to drink early and often, you better drink early and often.  That's just how it is.

And how about the PR peeps "clarifying" Brady's comments by saying he meant to stay hydrated with water?  Hilarious.

First of all, by doing that, they are just bringing more attention to his comments.

Second of all, nobody refers to "drinking" as drinking water.  And if they do, they are probably geek ass nerds.

Either way, if you're going to the game Sunday, drink responsibly.  Make sure you're drunk enough to be very loud.
