Fact: There was a period of about 2 weeks a couple years ago where I would do the Ric Flair walk at least 3 times a day.
Sometimes to convey confidence, sometimes to convey happiness, and sometimes to convey how drunk I was. i also used to do the Ric Flair walk out to the ring sometimes as a teen in our back yard wrestling league.
Yes my name was Insano, yes my catch phrase was "remember it!" and yes I was and am still the reigning champion.
So you could say I am a somewhat of a Ric Flair walk expert. And I was very disappointed not to see it anywhere in this video.
It's ridiculous. NESN finally does something amazing and they don't optimize the potential of it.
I would've had him do the Ric Flair walk out to the mound to throw the first pitch. So he throws out the first pitch all happy and the catcher comes out to shake hands and greet him.
But the catcher takes off his mask and it's Sting! Then he clubs Ric Flair in the leg as the crowd slowly realizes why the catcher was carrying around a bat.
Then an epic no DQ match ensues ending with Dustin Pedroia hitting Sting with HIS OWN bat, Ric Flair pinning him for the win, and both Dusty and Ric Flair doing the Ric Flair walk off into the sunset.
That is why NESN programming sucks. Because they don't think outside the box like that.
