I Think I Might Hate Carl Crawford Now
Before this year, Carl Crawford was by far my favorite non-Red Sox player. He was pretty clutch, stole like 6 bags a game against the Sox, and was good in all aspects of the game.
Plus, he did all of this in the AL East.
So needless to say, I was happier than a pig among guinea pigs when Crazy Carl signed here.
But all that has changed.
I, and I think a lot of Sox fans, could forgive the laughable year he has had if he played his ass off and wasn't a d bag.
But, oh wait, apparently he is a d bag.
I was really pulling for Crazy Carl to succeed here, but his comments last night got my blood a' boilin'.
Get ready to get pissed:
"'I don't know why you're standing here while I dress,' said Crawford, who returned to the lineup and singled in four trips, 'because when I'm dressed I'm leaving.'
Questions? 'Go ask the captain,' muttered Crawford, directing reporters to Jason Varitek.'"
Go ask the captain? Go ask the captain? How about go fuck yourself, Carl?
That captain has more fight, grit, leadership, and determination in the dip spit he swallows than you have in your entire underachieving body.
Maybe instead of calling him out and throwing him under the bus, you should listen to what he says and fucking do it.
Because last time I checked, there was a reason he earned that C and part of it was not taking shit from .255 hitters like yourself.
You want to play that game, Tony tough nuts? Let's play it.
You have numbers this year that give Mike Aviles hope to one day be a 20 mil-a-year player.
.255 avg, 11 homers, 53 RBI in 123 games.
Tek could do that in half the games. Oh wait, he pretty much fucking did.
.221 avg, 11 homers, 34 RBI in 66 games.
This shit has Adalius Thomas written all over it, which is why I'm so pissed.
Clearly, Theo didn't have a scouting report on immaturity when he signed Crawford.
But Carl better get with the fucking program soon because that type of shit, that type of attitude is not what this team is about. And definitely not what this city is about.And if he doesn't understand that, then the next six years are going to be fucking awful.
