Later Pearl Jam
Theo like literally just resigned.
The word on the street is that Theo Epstein officially resigned as GM of the Boston Red Sox like 10 minutes ago,
It's not even the word on the street, it's a done deal.
Well, it's weird to say, but later Theo.
As much as we might hate to say it right now, Theo was wicked legit at points.
He signed some guy named David Ortiz in 2003 when he was a Little Papi. That same year, he brought in Billy Mills (Bill Mueller), Kevin Millar, etc.
Yet he also signed Edgar Renteria, Julio Lugo, Daisuke Matsuzaka, John Lackey, etc.
So it's kind of a mixed bag. It's weird.
Which is why I don't care that Pearl Jam is leaving.
Like I've said before, I'm more angry that I can't call him Pearl Jam anymore than I am for him leaving.
The dude is going to be the President of Operations for one of the most well-known MLB teams.
But the only thing I don't get is why would the Cubs put up such a fight about the compensation?
Like you jerk faces are getting the President of Operations and you are crying about the Sox getting a top prospect?
Grow up.
We better get McNut and Brett Jackson at least or I'm going to Stone Cold Stun the shit out of Theo.
